Unspoken Shorts is a project of 3 short films that depict the queer Asian and Pacific Islander experience. It involves the importance of using condoms, having healthy communication in relationships and the importance of HIV testing.

The segment I put up here is called “Different Cocks, Different Smocks”.

Film evidence that I should just stick to what I know and keep my awkward mouth shut. haha Nevertheless, I have to say this was a really fun project, and I thank Clay Ngo for letting me be a part of it.

The topic of sex, much less gay sex, is rarely brought up and discussed, if at all, in Asian households. Consequently, many of our youth don’t learn the ins and outs (pun intended) of STD/STI transmission and safe sex practices until it’s too late. The goal of this project is to help raise awareness and increase thoughtful risk reduction in the queer A&PI community by putting people they can relate to in situations they might encounter in the real world. At the very least, we hope that these shorts spark a dialogue, whether internally or with other people, about relationships and sexual health.
