statistics

Been confused trying to understand Markov Chain systems to better understand respondent driven sampling techniques for the past 5 hours. Then, I suddenly read this line, and it all made sense. “A famous Markov chain is the so-called “drunkard’s walk”, a random walk on the number line where, at each step, the position may change by +1 or −1 with equal probability.” Give me a liquor metaphor to understand stats and I’m all good.
